About the Awards
The Retail Customer Excellence Awards is a prestigious event behing held on Wednesday 11th May 2016 in Melbourne to give recognition to retailers in Australia who are creating Customer Centric organisations that have the customers needs and wants engrained into every company decision to deliver an extraordinary experience at every touch point of the brand.

In a dynamic, ever evolving retail landscape where technology has taken centre stage as the enabler of the future landscape, these awards shift the lime light to the people of the business who create lasting and memorable experiences every day.

Innovation is at the heart beat of retail, not just in product design and technology, but innovation in business models of the future and progressive people landscape creating happy, fun and energetic work environments where people can thrive in an organisation and translate that into a productive, effective and profitable retailer.

Collaborate and connect are two words that we will hear a lot more of in the future as retailers and brands begin to merge into one space to harness each others assets and bring to live an explosion of entertaining, exciting and engaging experiences both on and offline.

The awards are a collaboration between Association and Communications Events, organisers of the Total Retail & Payments Expo and Inside Retail, Australia’s largest retail trade publication since 1972.

  • “Entering and winning awards for our business has been of great benefit to our business. It has improved our profile in the industry, and made it possible to establish new relationships that have helped us grow the business. I would definitely recommend entering awards where possible as the exposure for yourself and your business can be great.”
    – Nathan Huppatz,
  • “It’s been really valuable to us to have won a host of business awards, particularly around growth and culture. The exposure is of course great, but more than that, it’s recognition for the people who have helped build your company – your team, your customers, suppliers. People want to feel a part of something that is doing good things, and though an award shouldn’t be the measure of that, it’s advocacy, and recognition from industry peers.”
    – André Eikmeier, Vinomofo
  • “I am very excited about bringing our retail expertise from the Australian Consumer, Services and Retail (ACRS) Research Unit to the Octomedia Retail Customer Excellence Awards and seeing the best our country has to offer in retail.”

The Retail Customer Excellence Awards is certainly a way for businesses to amplify their great work and highlight to the world that we are innovators, change makers and have a conscious vision for the future.”
